Parents' Partnership

The Barnwell Parents’ Partnership

The Parents’ Partnership aims to represent the views of parents about the education and welfare provided by the school.

It is open to every parent/carer with a child at the school and hopes to encourage all parents to become involved in their children’s education and learning. We hope to hear from parents of students from all year groups.

It has been well documented that parental involvement is essential if a student is to reach their full potential.

The Partnership is:

  • A positive partnership of the school and parents
  • To improve communication between parents and the school
  • To help all students get the best possible learning experience
  • To support the school in its work with students and its relations with parents.
  • A confidential partnership

The Partnership is not:

  • For the discussion of individuals
  • In place of meetings with form tutors, Heads of House or subject teachers
  • A fundraising group

The Parents’ Partnership will meet once every term and will alternate days and times to allow every parent the chance to come along.

To join the Parents’ Partnership, have discussion points raised or if you would like to know more email:ParentsPartnership@barnwell.herts.sch.uk or call: 01438 222500 and ask for Rachel Shenton.
