Barnwell Branches out into Banking World

Barnwell will be opening its very own branch of Natwest Bank in School, which will be run by the students.
Students who take part in the Business and Enterprise Club were offered the chance to apply for 3 different job vacancies:- Cashier, Customer Service Manager & Marketing Executive.
They had to fill out application forms supplied by Natwest Bank and were invited to attend interviews with Mrs Wilson and two members of staff from Natwest Bank. The interviews took place last Friday and the students had to prepare a 1-2 minute presentation explaining why they went for a particular position and what relevant experience they had to support that.
Some chose to give well rehearsed speeches whilst we had one young lady show us a colourful picture of what she looks like now and another what she hopes to look like in later life. Another student blew us all away with his samples of web design and even an item of Clothing whereby he had designed and printed a logo on it.
The students will participate in a training session with Mrs Wilson and Leslie Slater from Natwest Bank on Thursday 25th February followed by the grand opening on Friday 26th February at 8am.
